What to Pack for a Motorcycle Trip in Thailand: The Complete Checklist

Packing for a motorcycle trip is an art form. Too much and you're fighting the bike. Too little and you're hunting for basics in rural towns. Here's the Ducky's tested checklist after years of helping riders prepare.

**Protective gear (non-negotiable)** - Full-face helmet (included with every Ducky's rental) - Riding jacket with CE-rated armour - Riding gloves - Riding boots or at minimum sturdy ankle-covering shoes - Riding pants or overpants with knee protection

**Documents** - International Driving Permit (IDP) endorsed for motorcycles - Passport - Your home country driving licence - Rental agreement (we'll give you this) - Travel insurance documents

**Electronics** - Phone mount (included with rental) - Power bank - Charging cables - Camera or action cam - USB charger for the bike (we include this)

**Luggage** - Hard panniers (included with most Ducky's rentals) - Top box (included) - Dry bags for rain - Small daypack for stops

**Clothing** - 3-4 days of lightweight, fast-drying clothes - Light jacket for cool evenings in the north - Sandals for off-bike hours

**Medical / safety** - Basic first aid kit - Rehydration salts (Thailand is hot) - Sunscreen - Insect repellent - Any prescription medications
